A few simple things:

- At the gazebo or setup, face each other and hold both hands. Don't face the minister, face each other. This will allow us to take pictures from both sides: Your family/friends side and the minister's point of view.
- Look into each other's eyes, look into each other's eyes, look into... you get the point.
- Place the rings nicely without bending your husband/wife's wrist or twist all your fingers
- Saying I Do? Look at each other!
- Reading your vows? Look at each other!
- Is your hair all over your face because it's a windy day? Take 10 seconds to fix it. You can even ask your maid of honor to do it.
- Is your veil all over your face? Remove it or pin it somewhere. There's no rush.
- While walking out, please don't block your face with your bouquet as you kiss each other. Most brides don't realize that they are holding the bouquet in front of their faces.

Why do we insist on looking at each other? In about 20-30% of our ceremonies, the couples look elsewhere. Not at their family or their friends, but somewhere else. Some people stare at the minister even while repeating their vows, and it feels completely disconnected from their partner.
