Based on our experience there's a big difference in quality comparing any services from the resort vs the ones you can book outside. Make-up artists are no exception, and we usually see that everybody is happy with the results when hiring an external artist vs using the one at the resort.
Some of our brides had excellent experiences with onsite make-up artists, but we've seen the complete opposite as well. Brides who removed their entire makeup because they weren't happy with it, as well as bridesmaids who used the staff from the result and weren't pleased with the results. No matter who you end up using, a makeup trial can always solve this if you know what you're looking for.
