Let me start by saying that we never had a problem with any of our clients regarding the payment because of a few different reasons: Punta Cana is a very safe place, especially inside resorts. Every room has a safe, and you can store valuables there. I’d say almost everybody is carrying a lot of cash while traveling because there are a lot of things that require it, like excursions or other services that are cheaper when using cash.

Besides that, you won’t be carrying cash every day or leaving it unattended, so flying and then getting into your transport and traveling to the resort is absolutely safe. Inside the resort only tourists are allowed and trust me, it’s safer than walking in any city anywhere in the world.

That being said, if you are not comfortable bringing cash you can pay with your credit card one week prior to the event, but the fees prevent us from using this system with every payment we receive. If you want to pay for everything with your card you’d have to add 7% to the remaining balance after the booking (when you book we pay those fees).

My honest advice would be: Bring the cash, place it in the safe, and simply pay us on your wedding day. We’ve done that in 95% of our events and we never had a problem (besides clients spending it before their wedding!!)
